Switching & Wireless

A switch is a silent worker. It sits in the rack connects wired devices with each other and just works.

Now lets talk about the Aps (Access Points). At the end of the day they also just get plugged in into a switch, which means our wireless network is still tied to the wired infrastructure underneath. If the switch is the silent worker, then the AP is the business’s public face. A customer walks in, connects to the WiFi, all of that luxury exists because the AP is connected to the wired LAN and rebroadcasting that connectivity through the air.
